The PRECIMA half-wave rectifiers are used to supply power to spring-applied brakes and other DC consumers from an AC voltage. They are available for AC or DC switching. The Precima rectifiers are protected against overvoltage by varistors in the input and output.
Example: A voltage supply of 230 VAC results in a coil voltage of 103 VDC.

The PRECIMA PMEAF 400-S single-phase rectifier is the ideal solution for the reliable power supply of electromagnetic spring-applied brakes and other DC consumers from an AC voltage of up to 400 VAC. As a single-phase rectifier, it efficiently converts the input voltage into a DC voltage of 0.45 x UIN – with a 230 VAC supply, this results in a coil voltage of approx. 103 VDC, and with 400 VAC, 180 VDC. This makes the PMEAF 400-S particularly cost-effective and space-saving, as the required coil voltage is halved.
The rectifier is specially designed for use with electromagnetic spring brakes and brake motors, and is suitable for both AC and DC switching. The integrated overvoltage protection with varistors in the input and output provides the PMEAF 400-S with optimum protection against voltage peaks.
With its compact dimensions of only 37 × 31 × 21.2 mm and a weight of 24 g, the rectifier can be easily integrated into terminal boxes or directly onto electric motors. The maximum connection voltage is 400 VAC, the maximum output current is 1 A at 45 °C or 0.5 A at 100 °C. The 6-pin connection enables simple and safe installation.
