PRECIMA Magnettechnik develops and manufactures high-quality electromagnetic brakes and clutches specifically for the demanding conditions of the steel processing industry and steelworks. Our solutions are used wherever reliability and precision are crucial.
Our safety brakes, including FDW brakes, are designed for challenging requirements: they withstand high temperatures, strong vibrations and heavy loads. With braking torques from 5 to 600 Nm, they offer maximum performance as robust and low-wear holding or service brakes – even in continuous operation (S1 – 100%).
FDW brakes are available in protection classes IP65 to IP66 and with ATEX certification for use in dust explosion zone 22, providing optimum protection against the relevant environmental influences. Additional options are available for special requirements: mounting flanges for flexible integration into your application context, manual release and a high-temperature version up to +80 °C. Electronic power reduction can provide thermal optimisation and extend the service life of the components.
