Break release time
Release times for brakesSynonym(e) / Plural(e)
- Break release times
Break release time refer to the short time intervals in which the brake pads no longer make contact with the brake disk or drum after the brake has been released. This moment is important in order to avoid overheating and unnecessary wear, as the pads lift slightly from the brake disk during the release time and thus ensure cooling. This is particularly relevant with frequent or heavy braking.
