When should the air gap be checked?

The air gap should be checked regularly as part of routine maintenance. It is particularly important to check it after extended periods of operation, under conditions of high friction, or if changes in switching times, unusual noises, or malfunctions are noticed. The function and wear of brakes can also be monitored using microswitches (function or wear) or sensors (function only).
