Azimuth drive

Azimuth drives are mechanical or electrical systems that enable a rotary movement around the vertical axis. They are used to control the orientation of an object - such as a wind turbine or ship - in relation to the wind or direction of travel, thereby improving efficiency or maneuverability. In contrast, the pitch drive causes rotation around the horizontal axis.
