Microswitch

A microswitch or micro-proximity switch in a spring-applied brake is a mechanical switching contact that is triggered by low actuating forces and is used to monitor the brake position. It reliably detects whether the brake is released or applied by reacting to the movement of mechanical components. This enables precise feedback to the control system, for example for the safe release of drives.
