Electromagnetic brakes for Offshore wind farms
Electromagnetic spring-applied brakes for harsh environments in offshore wind turbines
For use in offshore wind turbines, PRECIMA offers highly reliable electromagnetic spring-applied brakes and clutches that have been specially developed for extreme maritime conditions. These components ensure precise positioning and maximum operational safety in azimuth and rotor blade adjustment systems, even in strong winds, salty air and extreme temperature fluctuations.
The IP66-protected safety brakes are resistant to water, salt and dust and are ideal for permanent use in offshore environments. For wind farms in particularly cold regions, cold climate versions (CCV) are available that function reliably even at temperatures as low as -40 °C. The high vibration resistance and robust design ensure a long service life and low-maintenance operation at sea.
