Options

PRECIMA offers powerful electromagnetic brake solutions for manufacturers of gantry cranes, which have been specially developed for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Our FDB and FDW brakes are designed for braking torques from 5 to 1500 Nm and are suitable for use as both holding and service brakes. They feature a robust, low-wear design and guarantee reliable operation even under extreme operating conditions.

The brakes are available in protection classes from IP54 to IP66 and can be used in both continuous operation (S1 – 100%) and intermittent operation (S3 – 40%). This makes them ideal for the diverse requirements of modern gantry crane technology – from precise positioning and safe load handling to emergency stop functions.

Numerous options are available for adaptation to specific applications. Microswitches or inductive sensors can be integrated to monitor the brake function or wear. An integrated heater and temperature sensor enable reliable operation even at low ambient temperatures. Variants with manual release allow manual intervention during maintenance or emergencies. Versions compliant with ATEX Zone 22 (dust explosion zone) are available for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

With these features, PRECIMA's electromagnetic brakes offer maximum safety, efficiency and adaptability for gantry crane systems in industry, logistics and heavy-duty technology.
